UHRO has a core team with various professional backgrounds such as management, finances and HR etc. In addition the UHRO hires the project staff as and when required. The organization also engages volunteers and interns on need basis.

Advisory Board

Shahbaz M. Naar is the founding head of the Universal Human Rights Organization – UHRO and is currently working as the Chairperson/Executive Director. He has over fifteen years of experience in the field of management. He has worked with various National and International organizations and managed various team to promote human and child rights, ensure peace and conflict free environment, empower girls and women through education and economic empowerment. He has very clear vision to work for marginalized and deprived segment of Pakistan. He is now working to contribute to the development and implementation of strategies, policies and practices as well as coordinating and managing the workings of all departments at UHRO.He has very clear vision to work for marginalized and deprived segment of Pakistan. Zaheer Ahmad has more than 50 years experience in marketing and business management currently leading Kestral Group of Companies as Vice President International Coordination in Pakistan.
 

 

 


 
 


Sitara Arif works with Super Information Systems – Lahore as Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Chairperson of Packages Group Trainings – a private concern monitored and supported by Packages Limited in Pakistan, Vice Chairman with Pakistan Japan Business Forum and Board of Director TQM – Lahore Chamber of Commerce. She holds Master’s degree in Economics and has vast experience in the areas of Business development, education, theology, information system and human rights.

 

 


 
 


Muhammad Maroof is a dedicated development professional, who is currently working with Universal Human Rights ® Organization – UHRO as programs Director, having over 12 years of experience working with national and International organizations in disaster and normal situation in Pakistan. He has experience in leading right based programs/projects in all over Pakistan for social-change and development. Has combined his background in Human and Child Rights and Development through leading different development frameworks; Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE), Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR), Maternal Newborn and Child Health (MNCH), Peace Building and Social Cohesion, Gender Equality and Women Empowerment in mainstream development environment. He holds a Master’s degree in Political Science and Master of Sciences in Public Health.

 

 
 

Mr Qamar Jafri is doctoral researcher in peacebuilding at RMIT University Australia. He is one of the initiators of UHRO. He contributed to its various projects from 2005 to 2011. Mr Jafri made significant contributions to education, peace and interfaith harmony projects of the UHRO. Now he is an honorary member of the UHRO

 
 


 
 

 
 

Rahila Emmanuel is a hardworking, committed and energetic development practitioner with around 09 years progressive experience of the development sector on number of national and international supported projects, especially focusing empowering girls and women at all levels of social steps, stimulated in peace promotion, conflict resolution and interfaith harmony. She holds business management certificate from Houston community college –USA and Master’s degree in Business Administration – AIOU Pakistan

 
 


Uzma Rozi, teacher by profession contributing in the upbringing and development of young boys and girls. With over 18 years of teaching experience in education sector, she has a keen interest in human development and women empowerment.
